Revolution Laundry Terms of Use

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms of Use govern the relationship between you and ME Group International plc (trading as ‘Revolution laundry’ and ‘Wash Me’) when you use our automated Revolution-branded laundry machines  (‘Revolution laundry machines’) to obtain a service from them (‘Service(s)’).  

These Terms of Use set out important information regarding your rights, obligations and the restrictions that may apply when you order Services from our Revolution laundry machines, so please read them carefully before ordering a Service. You can save or print a copy of these Terms of Use for future reference. We have the right to revise and amend these Terms of Use from time to time and any changes we make will be posted on this page of our website.  

By ordering a Service from our Revolution laundry machines, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not accept the Terms of use you should not order our Services. 

Any reference to you or your, means you as a customer of our Services and/or as a user of our website. Any reference to we, us, our or ME Group is to ME Group International plc.

2. INFORMATION ABOUT US

The Revolution laundry machine and our Website are operated by ME Group International plc, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 00735438 and with our registered office at Unit 3B Blenheim Road, Epsom KT19 9AP.

3. USE OF MACHINES AND SERVICES

You will not use a Revolution laundry machine for: (i) any unlawful purpose; or (ii) any purposes unconnected with the washing and drying of garments and other fabrics by the Revolution laundry machine. 

You will make sure that: (i) the pockets of all items are emptied before you place them in the Revolution laundry machine; (ii) you place nothing else in the Revolution laundry machine except fabrics suitable to be washed in it according to their manufacturer’s washing instructions; and (iii) you select the correct temperature and cycle for each wash. 

4. ORDERING A SERVICE AND THE CONTRACT

i. By paying for the Service, you warrant that you have legal capacity to enter into contracts.  

ii. Please take time to check your order carefully before making payment. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a Service. If you place an order on our Revolution laundry machine and pay for it, you will be deemed to have entered into a contract with us (‘Contract’) which shall be deemed to include these Terms of Use.

5. PRICE AND PAYMENT

a. The price of the Service shall be as quoted on our Revolution laundry machine from time to time, except in cases of obvious error. Service prices include VAT.

b. Payment for all Services must be by contactless payment and we require payment before we make the Services available to you. We use Nayax payment services to carry out and process your payments.

6. YOUR CONSUMER RIGHT OF RETURN AND REFUND

a. Right of refund if the Service is defective or not as described: Because you are a consumer, we are under a legal duty to supply Services that are in conformity with our Contract. You have legal rights in relation to Services that are defective or not as described. If the Services are defective or are not as described, you should contact us and report such defect or misdescription as soon as possible (we ask that this is within three days from the date of purchase of the Service).  

b. To seek a refund, you may contact us by: 

  • writing to our Customer Service Department, ME Group International plc, Unit 3B Blenheim Road, Epsom KT19 9AP; or 
  • emailing info@me-group.com; or 
  • vist help.megroup.uk

Where you contact our call centre, we may ask you to write in or email us if we have any difficulty understanding you, so we can make sure the refund is issued correctly.  

We will refund you by the method used by you to pay. 

c. If we agree that the Service was defective or misdescribed (acting reasonably) we will refund the price of the Service in full. We reserve the right to require you to send to us photographic evidence to enable us to assess the alleged problems.

7. OUR LIABILITY

a. Nothing in these Terms of Use shall:

i. where you deal as a consumer, restrict your statutory rights; or

ii. exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or exclude or limit our liability for any other matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude or attempt to exclude our liability.

b. Subject to condition 7a above, we are responsible for losses you suffer caused by our breaking this Contract or our negligence up to the value of the price you paid for the Service but we will not be legally responsible to you for any loss which is: 

i. Unexpected: It was not obvious that it would happen and nothing you said to us before we accepted your order meant we should have expected it (so, in the law, the loss was not reasonably foreseeable). 

ii. Caused by an event outside our control: We are not responsible for any failure to perform, or any delay in performance of our obligations under the Contract caused by events outside our reasonable control.

iii. Avoidable: Something you could have avoided by taking reasonable action. For example: (1) you did not empty all the pockets of all items before you placed them in the Revolution laundry machine; (2) you placed something else in the Revolution laundry machine apart from fabrics suitable to be washed in it according to their manufacturer’s washing instructions; and (3) you selected the incorrect temperature and cycle for each wash contrary to the garment manufacturer’s instructions. 

iv. A business loss: We supply Services only for private consumption. You agree not to use any Services for commercial purposes, and we will have no liability to you for any loss of profits, loss of business or loss of business opportunity.

8. PRIVACY STATEMENT

We respect people’s right to privacy, and we comply with our obligations under relevant data protection laws. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This Statement of Privacy applies to this website and governs data collection and usage. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using a Revolution laundry machine and this website, we will only use that information in accordance with this Statement of Privacy. 

By using a Revolution laundry machine and visiting our website, you are deemed to accept the terms of this privacy statement and the data practices described within. 

Collection of your personal information  

We will not collect personally identifiable information, other than, in certain cases, credit card and debit card information or mobile numbers. Such information is only collected from you if you voluntarily submit it to us and is only used with the express purpose of acquiring payment services on your behalf and letting you know when a washing cycle is complete. We do not keep it on record  in our systems. 

Any other information received from you after the use of a Revolution laundry machine for customer service reasons, i.e. name, address, phone number, email, etc. will only be used for the handling of your query and not for any other purpose. 

Changes to this statement  

We will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. We encourage you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how we protect your information.

9. GENERAL

i. You may not transfer or assign any or all of your rights or obligations under the Contract. 

ii. All notices you give to us must be given in writing to the address set out in these Terms of Use. We may give notice to you at either the email or postal address you provide to us when you contact us. 

iii. If we fail to enforce or delay in enforcing any of our rights under the Contract we can still enforce it later.  

iv. If a court of other authority decides that some of these Terms of Use are unlawful, the rest will continue to apply. 

v. These Terms of Use and any document expressly referred to in them represent the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the subject matter of any Contract. Contracts may be concluded in the English language only. 

vi. The Contract is between you and us. Nobody else can enforce it.

10. LAW AND JURISDICTION

The Contract for the purchase of Services and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Contract will be governed by English law. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Contract will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. This means that you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of another part of the UK in which you live.

These Terms of Use apply to all Contracts entered into from and including 21st June 2024.
